Offered at four different locations this summer, these half-day sessions are designed to introduce students to the programs and services provided throughout the College.

Gold Sessions

Offered only on the Perkinston Campus the last week in June, these full-day sessions, in addition to introducing students to programs and services provided throughout the College, are designed to provide information on Residence Life and MGCCC Athletics.

Blue Sessions

Offered at three different locations during the months of July and August, these evening sessions are designed for working students with a busy schedule.

By earning your Associates degree at MGCCC, you’ll attend the same core classes offered at four-year colleges, but you’ll be spending a lot less. Plus, our agreements with public and private universities ensure our students receive the maximum number of transfer credits, including in-state schools in Alabama. This way, our students avoid years of student loan payments. MGCCC strives to make our college as affordable as possible. How affordable are we?

  • 72% of students students receive scholarships or supplemental funding.
  • Tuition at Mississippi’s in-state universities costs 2.4 times as much as MGCCC.
  • Our Textbook Rental program makes the average cost of books $40 per course.

Gulf Coast’s Alumni Association was established in 1929 to create links between the college, alumni, faculty, and friends.

  • Each year, notable athletes, academics, and humanitarians are inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame.
  • The Annual Homecoming celebration includes class and group reunions, cookouts, pep rallies, and a golf tournament.
